Breast Tissue Reconstruction with Fascio Glandular Flap

When Lobectomy or Quadrenectomy is planned for the tumor in the breast, the surgical defect in the breast becomes large. If this part of the breast tissue is closed without repair, a gap or collapse will occur in the breast. In order to prevent this image that may disturb the patient, the breast tissue around the surgical area is prepared by separating it down to the fascia on the muscle at the back. This prepared tissue is called Flap.

While the flaps are being prepared, free fat tissue, breast tissue, and breast tissue are separated to fill the Surgical Area without disrupting their connection to the fascia at the back, and are rotated to repair and fill the surgical area.

This procedure is called Intramammary Breast Tissue Reconstruction with Fascio Glandular Flap. This approach also provides better cosmetic results than simply covering the skin of the surgically removed area. Since this tissue is resistant to radiotherapy, the results are long-lasting.
